National Minimum Wage (NMW) – A reminder!

19 September 2016 13:29

A reminder to all employers – the NMW is set to increase as from 1 October 2016. The new rates are set out in the table below:

* The apprentice rate is for apprentices aged 16 – 18 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. All other apprentices are entitled to the NMW.

Employers should also remember that NMW rises are set to take place in April each year, rather than historically October, as from April 2017 – so another NMW (and living wage) increase will happen in April 2017.
