After graduating from Northumbria University with a degree in Business, Jamie later qualified as a Chartered Accountant and spent several years covering all aspects of audit and accountancy.
Jamie specialised in the accounts and tax affairs of larger company clients, providing cash flow and business advice for several multi million pound businesses, including advising on the successful refinancing of a company involving several million pounds of equity finance.
After qualifying as a Chartered Tax Adviser, Jamie was headhunted by a private company whom he had previously advised and accepted the position of Finance Director.
After working within industry for a few years, Jamie was an integral part of the team that together vastly improved the company’s financial position and strength by working closely on cash management and profitability projects.
After deciding his future lay back within a professional practice, Jamie aims to offer a great level of client service and can offer the experience of being within a business. He can relate to many of the problems facing you, as unlike many other accountants, he has been there and seen them himself.
Jamie specialises in providing sensible and knowledgeable advice to any business, backed by his experience of being involved in a large business himself. Whether that is providing cash flow advice, working on the relationship with your bank manager, or even just helping you to better understand your businesses performance by getting in to the numbers, Jamie wants to help anyone looking to improve their business.
When he is not assisting his clients, Jamie enjoys playing sports and walking the dogs with friends but most importantly spending time with his young family. He is married to Michelle and they have a son George.
