The Carlisle Business Seminar, held at the Crown and Mitre Hotel, was organised and hosted by Peter Fleming of Business Doctors Cumbria and MoynanSmith's very own Darren Moynan.

Darren was also one of the featured speakers. He updated attendees with announcements from Chancellor Philip Hammond's recent Spring Statement, letting them know how they might be affected.

The other featured speaker was Andrew Hebden, the Bank of England's deputy agent for the North East and Cumbria. Andrew presented and summarised key points from the BoE's latest inflation report.

The seminar aimed to provide businesses in the area with an economic update, letting them know what to expect in 2018. Event attendees were given ample opportunity to ask questions of the hosts and peer-to-peer discussion was strongly encouraged.

This event marked the first of three business breakfasts that Darren and Peter will be hosting this year.
